The weather could not have been more perfect yesterday for a mid summer feast - and let me tell ya, it could not have been called anything less!!!

There was so much food; Scotsman cheered EVERYONE on to get seconds and thirds of all of it and made sure there was no one without a full cup of cider!!

Sam and I were reunited after a very LONG drought of not seeing each other and we caught up a bit on things - I remember thinking how much I wish Ronda and Kendall could've been there with us... But I, personally, met some new people and seeing everyone out of garb was quite different!!! However, I completely fell in love with Rummy - and at the end of the party he was utterly content with one heck of a full tummy as he laid in the shade next to his wonderful mom, Loma...

It was also the SDWs first time experiencing Jeparody - Sam got picked to play with Mike and Genavieve (forgive me if I misspelled!!) and it was pretty eye opening just how little I knew about the Ren period - kings and queens and the history of our wonderful faire and those that work there year after year...

Before you know it, the sun began to set, I wondered where the time had gone - just like faire and regretfully had to hit the road...

It was a wonderfuly day, with lots of great friends and I cannot wait to spend pretty much my entire weekends with them for 9 weeks beginning the end of August!!

It feels likes it's been forever since we stepped along the paths of Revel Grove, with cider in one and and Soup in a Bread Bowl in the other... Spotting some of our Entourage and figuring out how to wave back with full hands.. hehehe

I miss the oncoming smell of autumn passing thru the trees, the calls of this person or that carrying over the crowds... I miss the way the sun fights thru the leaves to touch the roof tops of the shops or to glint off the gorgeous displays at the Brass Dragon... I miss the familiar faces that suddenly appear around the corner; smiles beaming, ale in hand with loud 'HEY!!!'s

I miss the sounds of the joust; the crashing metals, the splintering woods and the civies 'ooo'ing and 'aaahh'ing... I miss the sound of the bagpipes, and the dancing that comes with them naturally...

I miss enjoying the alarm going off 7am on a weekend and enjoying it!!!!

Before you know it, it will be that time again and we'll be within the gates breathing that first sigh of relief...
